Barnet with Cambridge Education Annual Satisfaction Surveys

For Information and Action

You may recall at the Director’s briefing in the Summer term I explained that Barnet with Cambridge Education would be conducting a number of surveys to determine your views of the services that we provide.

I sent these surveys to head teachers via email on Friday 13 October.  I sent 13 separate emails; each one contained a link to a survey.  Although sending you 13 emails may seem excessive, this is so that you can easily forward a particular survey to a colleague if this is more appropriate. Each survey only consists of three questions.

The services that we are seeking your views on are:

Traded or partly-traded services

  • BPSI
  • NQT support
  • Governor Services
  • Data Services
  • Education Welfare Team
  • Educational Psychology Service
  • HIST
  • Barnet Education, Employment and Training service (post-16)
  • Catering (school meals)

Non-traded services

  • School Improvement service (non-traded)
  • Specialists Inclusion Services (e.g. Autism Team, Sensory Teams, Physical Difficulties Team and BEAM)
  • SEN Team (Assessments and Placements)
  • Admissions Team

Surveys will close on Sunday 5 November 2017.

Action required

Please review you email inbox and complete the surveys that are relevant to your school.  If you haven’t used a service within the last year you can ignore that survey. I would imagine that most of the surveys will be completed by the head teacher but individual surveys can be forwarded to a particular member of staff to complete if that would be more appropriate.

Thank you for your support.

Richard Griggs
Traded Services Operations Director

EHCPs and Secondary Transfer

For Information

We hope to send to you by secure email the consultations for those children with draft EHCPs who have requested your school for September 2018.

There is a fifteen day response time in respect of each of these consultations.

It is hoped that the majority will be with you by or before Friday 3 November.

There will inevitably be further requests after this date but we are hoping to keep this to a minimum.

Please send your response to the consultation to : senadmin@barnet.gov.uk. Please do not send to case worker as we are trying to co-ordinate responses.

Head of SEN Assessment and Placements

Life After RaiseOnline

For Information

FAO: Heads, Assessment Leaders

Alongside the replacement for RaiseOnline, ASP, a number of companies have secured permission to provide alternatives to ROL. Arbor Insight is one of these post-RaiseOnline providers and offers the same data that schools are familiar with in a user friendly way that is free.  The resource can be accessed at http://arbor-education.com/en/arbor-insight and a training afternoon is being provided at Millbrook Park on Friday 10 November at 1pm to help understand how to get the most from this report.  There is no cost to this session. If you are interested in attending then please contact Anthony David (adavid7.302@lgflmail.org) who will also provide invaluable advice on where to park. There are 20 places available.
